Touchdown
provides a very high quality holiday experience where attention to detail
matters.
This is a very special place, ideal for honeymooners,
couples and singles who choose to be away from the crowds. Relax in
comfort and tranquillity and enjoy the easygoing atmosphere at Touchdown
as well as finding time to explore Ventnor and the rest of this wonderful
island.
Touchdown is located in a quiet cul-de-sac on a hillside
some 500ft. above the English Channel with superb panoramic views of the
sea.
The 2 guest rooms have a real Mediterranean feel with their
tiled floors, white walls and private balconies that lead out from each of
the bedrooms. Each balcony offers a table & chairs and a sunshade,
views of the garden, deck - complete with loungers - and the private
heated swimming pool.
Guests have access to the pool
from June to September inclusive. It is located in a sheltered position
and is accessed via a few steps from guests’ balconies.
There are
superb panoramic views of the sea – and the harbour to the left - from
guests’ rooms and balconies. Here, you can watch the sun rise over the sea
or simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet with a drink or a good book
at any time of day. Many guests love to watch the yachts, ocean liners and
fishing boats passing by.
Guests have magnificent views of the
'Round the Island Yacht Race' from their balconies. The race is held each
summer and it is the largest yacht race in the world.
Animal lovers
will also enjoy catching a glimpse of the foxes that visit the garden in
the mornings and evenings.
Free off-road car parking is provided
directly outside Touchdown.
Apologies, but we do not accept
children because of the potential hazards relating to the raised decking
and unsupervised pool.
Touchdown is not suitable for
wheelchairs users or the infirm.
Sorry, no pets allowed as
we have cats that share our home.
Our rooms are
non-smoking - but smoking is permitted on the balconies.
